We all talk about detoxification as if it is something we do for a couple of weeks in the new year, eating fruit and salads, stopping caffeine and alcohol, eating less sugar and stodgy food, doing a bit more exercise. What does that do to get toxins out of our body? Basically, nothing, though it might give you a caffeine-withdrawal headache.
If you want to clear your body of toxins, you have to know what they are and where they come from.
We all know that junk foods are a source of toxins, but why? Alcohol certainly is, and pollution comes to us from the air and our water supply, even bottled water, which we now know is loaded with plastic nano-particles.
But very few people know the answer to the question: What is the biggest source of toxins? The toxins that cause inflammation in our bodies, inflammation that attacks our joints and gives us arthritis, degrades our DNA, destroys brain cells, and causes rapid ageing?
I asked this question on social media and received the following answers:
Could it be pesticides? I’ve noticed how few insects there are these days. Birds like sparrows have virtually disappeared in UK and guessing it's lack of food for them.
Artificial colourings, flavouring, preservatives in food?
Our own mindset? Negativity, stress etc?
Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) affecting the thyroid and pineal gland. EDC's are in lots of products.
Heavy metals, flouride, aluminum, parasites.
Nanotechnology and morgellons.
Stress and worry have cascading effects on body function and part of those consequences includes lack of deeper breathing and hence poorer oxygenation and change in lymphatic flow.
Sugar, a high glycemic diet (white bread, white flour) and insulin resistance are all pro-inflammatory.
Aluminium? It's in deodorant/antiperspirant, pans, cars etc. I believe we can absorb it through the skin or breathe in as in geoengineering etc.
What about mould? It seems to be a lot more prevalent than when I was a kid. I heard somewhere they include mould spores in with the rest of the stuff they're spraying.
EMF pollution?
Dehydration would be a source of toxicity and linked to the inability to hydrate is omega 3 deficiency.
Although none of these are the main source of toxicity in our bodies, they are all good answers. All these forms of toxicity can contribute to dysfunction and inflammation. For example, if you don't get enough magnesium in your diet, your body will try to use aluminium, as it has some similarities. But it can't do the same job as magnesium, so all the enzymes that depend on magnesium will be liable to malfunction. Same goes for lead and calcium. The mercury in amalgam tooth fillings is another serious toxin. A nurse friend of mine started to develop signs of multiple sclerosis after she bought an electric toothbrush for the first time. The enhanced tooth cleaning was stripping mercury from her fillings and she was swallowing it. The symptoms stopped when she realized the connection and got rid of the electric toothbrush.
One item not mentioned is vaccines, as given to babies, children, travellers, and supposedly to prevent herpes, flu and tetanus etc. Any chance the medical cabal gets to shove the stuff into us, and they will. There are toxic metals like aluminium in vaccines, plus whatever pond scum they fancy adding without declaring it.
I have been meaning to write this series of articles for some time. Detoxification is the absolute key to disease prevention and regaining health, but magazine articles by journalists who have never treated a health condition in their lives, are not the answer. Neither are practitioners who try to use quick fix gimmicks or to sell you expensive supplements that you don’t need. Detoxification is about education, education, education. Once you understand your body’s cries for help you can meet its needs, show it some love and become its friend. Your relationship with your body is everything. Modern medicine has done us no favours in trying to replace that relationship with chequebook science. It’s time to change our mindset completely and return to relying on basic biology and commonsense.
